Provider Selection
Except in an emergency the employer/insurer has the right to select the treating provider. In an emergency the employee is not restricted to the employer/insurer's choice.
Additional Regulations
MCOs must ensure that employees will be directed to appropriate care and provide medical case management services based on established treatment protocols.
Provider Lists
Provider lists and directories may be utilized. There is no state-mandated posting. StrataCare generic posting may be used.
